Hill Strategies Research to conduct research into the state of arts organizations in Canada for Business for the Arts
Focus on long-term trends in private sector support
Business for the Arts (formerly The Council for Business and the Arts in Canada) has been tracking the state of the arts in Canada since 1976, capturing financial and statistical data on private sector support, public sector funding, earned revenues, attendance, employment and other relevant data. Business for the Arts' annual surveys provide significant insight into the health of non-profit performing arts companies, museums and art galleries.
For the first time this year, Hill Strategies Research will conduct data analysis for Business for the Arts based on the survey results. One of the most interesting aspects of this project is the opportunity to conduct longer-term trend analysis and benchmarking.
Hill Strategies Research encourages managers of Canadian non-profit performing arts organizations, museums and art galleries to complete the Business for the Arts form. Wide participation by the arts community will help ensure meaningful and powerful data analysis. The deadline is April 25th.
Data analysis will take place once all surveys have been received, with a projected release date of August 2007. The reports will be based on 2005-06 data.
